[wabs] State Convention

Okay folks.  At our meeting on Sunday, we talked about state convention in April.  I would like your help to make sure this goes as well as possible.  We want everyone to remember how awesome the students made the 2010 convention in Appleton!  Our next meeting is on Sunday, October 11 at 9:00 PM.  Between now and then, I would like you to brainstorm some ideas for the below listed topics.  Feel free to discuss on list, as the more ideas we can bounce off of each other between now and then, the better.

Theme:  We need to decide on a theme for the convention.  The only theme I have thought of is breaking down barriers.  I'm looking for suggestions.  Also, try to think of songs that might fit any theme you think would be a good idea.

hospitality:  How often do we want to have it?  We need to have someone there at all times to greet people.  What do we want there for food?  Do we want to put together little welcome bags for folks?  

Door prizes and auction items: start thinking of where you might be able to get items donated from.  Vet's offices, doctors, gift cards from restaurants, etc.

child care: we need to start thinking about finding a group in appleton that might be able to help with child care.

I'm sure there's more I'm not thinking of right now, but if you guys could get started on that, that would be great.

Oh, also, any ideas for a state fund raiser we can do at convention.
