Greetings,
Steve I was reading your note and was very touched by it. I am so glad that you guys enjoyed yourself at our seminar. We worked very hard to put it on and to get some of the great minds that we knew to come and speak to us about our and their children. We are glad to have you and glad to have such hard workers who believe in their abilities and the abilities of their kids.
As I work with Kyle on reading when he comes home from school I am profoundly aware that Kyle is one of the lucky ones. He has a mom and a dad that know the NFB and know of the opportunities that are available to him. We also know Braille and can work with him at home and this makes me grateful but in the same breath very sad because I know that out there in the little bitty towns scattered throughout Wisconsin there are many more children who are not as lucky and those kids (and parents) are the ones who really need our help.
Yes, Steve to answer your question you did make sense and I do not believe you were "rambling", I believe that you were speaking from your heart and your desire to "give back" as we say.
I am glad that we have given to you enough that you feel you can give back. Don't be fooled though you always seem to get more than you can ever give.
A local chapter is a great idea and one I would love to talk with you about. We also have to remember to support our local NFB chapters as well because they can also do much for us and we can do much for them.
Your thoughts and heart felt words have really helped me see that we are helping people in this state and they need us to keep working and keep bring new and good ideas because you never know what will grab someone and get them.
If you would give me a call and we could discuss your chapter idea further I would really appreciate that 608-563-4708
Thank you for all your support and continued hard work.
Gratefully Yours,
Andrea
